WHITE NIGHT: S.O.S. Audiovisual installation and Concert

MØR collective (Denmark, Latvia)
7.09. 21:00-01.00, Riga Circus, Merķeļa str. 4, Rīga | Free

During the annual modern culture forum White Night, everyone is invited to experience the impressive 360-degree scenography of “Symphony of Solitude S.O.S”, created by Latvian artist Katrīna Neiburga. The audio-visual installation resembles a large dollhouse made up of many miniature, old-fashioned apartments, exposing the private spaces of fellow human beings to the public eye. From 11PM, the “MØR collective” artists Anika Barkan and Mika Forsling will perform an electroacoustic experimental music concert that combines electropop, performance and poetry, dealing with themes of oppression, apathy, power and privilege-blindness.

Implemented as part of the White Night Forum of Contemporary Culture with the financial support of the Riga City Council

About artists

MØR collective is a Danish based international performing arts collective – working on socially engaged and norm critical art projects. Our goal is to create accessible works that resonate with audiences, broaden our perspective and train our empathic compass and engagement with the contemporary world.

MØR collective was founded in 2021 by Anika Barkan, Mika Forsling & Cille Lansade.

MØR collective acts as a platform for artistic co-creation. The collective process is a cornerstone, meaning that the artists involved in a project are part of the collective for the duration of their involvement in the project. In our upcoming projects we collaborate with Katrina Neiburga, Petter Wadsten, Abelone Koppel, Troels Jensen, Raya Ziada & Ghazal Ramsani.
