Symphony Of Solitude- S.O.S. is a surreal and playful performance installation. With humor and empathy, sound and images, the performance sheds light on loneliness, togetherness and the strange dynamics of neighbors. And the way in which neighbors become the background music that accompanies our lives.
The performance takes place in an installation that takes the form of a giant cut-out property, a giant dollhouse, which gives the audience insight into different rooms – a living room, a kitchen, etc. – but also secret rooms.
The rooms are inhabited by lonely, quirky personalities who are in symbiosis with their surroundings, sometimes in scenic stills and other times in frantic activity. They seem detached from each other, self-sufficient in their own little universe, yet strangely connected. Symphony Of Solitude – S.O.S delves into loneliness, a growing “public disease” in the Nordic region, some even talk about an epidemic of loneliness.

Smoking on stage.

About artists

MØR collective is a Danish based international performing arts collective – working on socially engaged and norm critical art projects. Our goal is to create accessible works that resonate with audiences, broaden our perspective and train our empathic compass and engagement with the contemporary world.

MØR collective was founded in 2021 by Anika Barkan, Mika Forsling & Cille Lansade.

MØR collective acts as a platform for artistic co-creation. The collective process is a cornerstone, meaning that the artists involved in a project are part of the collective for the duration of their involvement in the project. In our upcoming projects we collaborate with Katrina Neiburga, Petter Wadsten, Abelone Koppel, Troels Jensen, Raya Ziada & Ghazal Ramsani.
