BEYOND BEYOND

MØR collective (Denmark, Latvia)

In these times, the waking world can feel like a tragicomic performance.

Inspired by lullabies and rituals, MØR collective with BEYOND BEYOND delves into the gentleness, rhythm and brutality that is part of what makes us step over the threshold into another world – a playful and imaginative universe where new possibilities open up if we dare to let go of control.

As an audience member, you are invited into a converted caravan. You are met by a soft velvet universe – a cathedral, an enchanting cave, a place where you can take a break from the banalities of everyday life and where, through a unique fusion of music, video, performance and installation, you can surrender to the twisted reality and absurd landscapes of dreams.

IZRĀDES APRAKSTS VIEGLAJĀ VALODĀ

The performance takes place
inside a converted caravan.

It can feel like a cathedral.
It can feel like a cave.
In the caravan, you can take a break.

You can stop thinking about everyday life.

The performance uses music and video.
Together they create
a dream-like atmosphere.

The performance is inspired
by lullabies and rituals.

They take the audience
into another world.

But the performance shows life today.
It reminds us how often the world changes.

And we all live here.

ABOUT ARTISTS

MØR collective is an award-winning international performing arts community that serves as a platform for cross-artistic co-creation. We insist on the collective workspace, where each artist is given space to shape and mold a project based on their knowledge and field of expertise. We know that it is in this dynamic ping-pong that the strongest works emerge. Our projects are rooted in a strong visual, musical and sensory language, which allows you to experience the work on multiple levels. Common to all the works is that they relate to a current social issue, which we process artistically in order to create a sense of connection and resonance with the audience.

MØR collectives was founded in 2021 and the core group consists of Anika Barkan, Mika Forsling, Cille Lansade, Katrina Neiburga and Laura Hagen Aagaard.
