The Festival School is a week-long creative workshop for professionals of the performing arts, which this year is led by the the founder of the Festival, theatre and film director Pēteris Krilovs, as well as Krista Burāne, creator, director, and dramaturge of many performances that have been featured at the festival. During the workshop, participants will reflect on the various formats of the festival’s performances and emerging trends, as well as work on creating a public event, offering their vision of what the stage is today.

On September 6, during the Homo Novus Parade, there will be short performances by Festival School participants at various locations throughout the city. The parade will begin at 6 p.m. at the office of the New Theater Institute of Latvia at 39 Miera Street. More detailed information about the Parade route will be posted on this page as the event approaches.
