The Big Green

The Big Green is a collaborative project supported by the EU Programme Creative Europe, bringing together 23 organizations from across the fields of science and the arts. The initiative is grounded in the belief that culture can act as a catalyst for social change. In this context, the cultural and creative sectors are seen as key players in responding to environmental challenges—by helping to mitigate negative impacts or inspire positive transformation. There is a growing understanding that culture holds untapped potential in building a more sustainable future. All project partners share the view that while the cultural and creative sectors are ready to engage, they often lack the necessary tools and knowledge to contribute effectively within current systems.

MAGIC CARPETS

Magic Carpets is a EU Programme Creative Europe platform uniting 17 European cultural organisations (14 active members and 3 partners for 2025–2028). It supports emerging artists as they embark on creative journeys in unfamiliar lands, working with local communities to produce new artworks that highlight local identities, enhance storytelling, and promote cultural accessibility and activism.

Festival SPA

EU Programme Creative Europe project Festival SPA joins together three arts organizations with renowned, vibrant, summer contemporary performing arts festivals: Santarcangelo festival (IT), Mladi levi festival (SI) and Homo Novus festival (LV).

These festivals have a tradition of care for the wellbeing of artists and cultural workers and have already paved ways of reaching out to audiences and making festivals welcoming spaces. We want to develop the framework within festivals to further contribute to improving mental health, wellbeing and social inclusion of festival workers and audiences. We will create safe, soft, slow spaces and conditions that will nurture the people working for the festivals and all the audiences in order to be able to savor art slowly and improve our living.

The Book of Dreaming

EU Programme Creative Europe project The Book of Dreaming addresses the challenges of integrating refugee children from Ukraine in countries affected by the consequences of war and the migration crisis following the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. The aim of the project is to support the integration process through artistic activities and the exchange of knowledge between professionals working with children in migration-related crisis situations.

The project focuses on the exchange of experience and knowledge in the field of children’s integration through culture. Partner institutions will organize meetings and thematic activities, resulting in the creation of two toolboxes that will include good practices, inspiration, and recommendations for cultural and educational institutions.

The project activities will be carried out in four countries: Poland (Wrocław), Latvia (Riga/Ludza), Hungary (Budapest), and Ukraine (Lviv).
